Director areid@neconsultingpartners.com

Graduate of Stanford University (M.A., B.A.)  Alison Reid has worked for Software Companies and Consulting Firms, primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area, for the past 15 years.  Her specific areas of expertise include systems integration, product implementation and the development and execution of client knowledge management/intranet strategies. Alison began her career developing client-server applications for search engines for academic research at Stanford University. These applications enabled Stanford professors and students to use computational power to accomplish innovative research.  Stanford, along with Northwestern University  and the University of Virginia, were considered the thought leaders in these research applications at that time.  After working with a Quality Assurance product company, Alison moved on to Cambridge Technology Partners (now Novell) where she worked with clients to develop and implement Intranet sites. While there she also worked internally replacing a proprietary enterprise Knowledge Management Intranet with a packaged solution. In her role as Knowledge Manager for CTP, she created a platform on which client-delivery best practices became leveraged globally. From CTP, Ms. Reid went on to work at several software product companies where she delivered projects on Knowledge Management/CRM and Web Analytics software. She then joined McKinsey & Company in the North American High Tech Practice where she designed, developed, and implemented a consultant facing Intranet that provided 24/7 information to consultants globally. This intranet improved operational efficiency by leveraging technology to increase productivity of end user business processes. In addition, the practice Intranet, which included a B2B component, streamlined and qualitatively improved the backend administrative infrastructure.

At McKinsey, she also managed multiple High Tech Practice Infrastructure teams. Most recently, Alison worked with Leader Networks consulting and its clients on projects focused on search, Intranet, consumer and B2B social networks as well as product services methodologies.

Alison is excited to help grow a West Coast presence for NE Consulting Partners. She will focus on expanding the high-technology practice and bring her extensive CRM, research and analytical experience to bear on internal marketing initiatives.
